The KIADB Aerospace Park impact on North Bangalore reaches well beyond the airport. Set beside Kempegowda International Airport near Devanahalli, the park has become one of India's most important aerospace and defence clusters, adding a second source of skilled jobs to a zone long dominated by technology.

The park was developed by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board on about 1,000 acres, with plans for expansion, and includes an aerospace special economic zone of around 250 acres. Karnataka accounts for about 65% of India's aerospace-related exports, and the park is central to that position.

Major names anchor it. Boeing set up a 43-acre campus in the park with an investment of about Rs 1,600 crore, described as its largest facility outside the United States. HAL, Dynamatic Technologies and other aerospace and engineering firms also operate units there.

Devanahalli aerospace SEZ jobs span engineering, precision manufacturing, research and support services. These roles add a different kind of demand to North Bengaluru: professionals and skilled workers who want homes within a reasonable drive of the airport side of the city.

Together with the airport, Bhartiya City and Manyata Tech Park, the park forms part of a North Bangalore industrial corridor that stretches from the Outer Ring Road to Devanahalli. The Blue Line airport metro and the Bengaluru Business Corridor will strengthen links across it.

For homebuyers, the effect is broader demand rather than a single hotspot. Localities between the city and the airport, such as Thanisandra, benefit from employment on both sides. From the Thanisandra Main Road belt, the aerospace park is about 19 km away, reached via Bellary Road.

The KIADB Aerospace Park impact on North Bangalore adds depth to a market already driven by technology jobs. Read our airport guide and explore Prestige Thanisandra.
